Dinosaurs!
ROOAAAAR!
Sorry if I scared you, but I’ve been practising all week to perfect my best dinosaur impression just for you. I know I’ve told you before that my favourite animals to read about are elephants, but I’ve just discovered how fun dinosaurs are! They’re big and they’re loud, and sometimes they’re scary, but they’re always great to read about.
My favourite dinosaur book is The Very Dizzy Dinosaur by Jack Tickle. It’s full of dinosaurs in all sorts of shapes and colours, and some even pop out from the page at you! I also enjoy reading Ten Terrible Dinosaurs by Paul Stickland (it helps me when I get all muddled up with my numbers) and Dinosaur Roar! by Henrietta Stickland, which was what inspired my dinosaur impression!
One day, I hope I can go and see the real life dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum.
What dinosaur would you like to be? I still can’t decide… I think I’m going to have to go and read my books again… I wonder if there was a blue one…
(Roar…)
PS Dinosaur fans will also just love special activity sheets for Harry and the Dinosaurs from my friends over at Booktime.

Woohoo! Two mentions of my books in one paragraph! Thanks Bookstart. You can see what I am working on right now on my blog http://paulstickland.tumblr.com/ There are pictures of all the stages of creating a pop up book and many other glimpses into the life of a children's book Illustrator, author and pop up book designer. There are also links to my website www.paulstickland.co.uk where you can find free downloads of dinosaur colouring pages and even a pop up dinosaur monster face!
