National Bookstart Week 2013: fairy tales

Help families discover the magic of fairy tales with Bookstart this June
‘If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.’
Albert Einstein
National Bookstart Week is from Monday 24–Sunday 30 June 2013
Why not hold a National Bookstart Week event at your setting this June around this year’s theme of fairy tales? It’s a great opportunity to showcase how much fun families can have with books, stories, rhymes and other fun activities.
Last year there were 5,000 special free events held for children and their families. This year promises to be even better, and all libraries, nurseries, children’s settings, bookshops and other venues around the country are invited to take part.
For further information about National Bookstart Week please contact your local Bookstart coordinator, and check back in June to download a great range of fairy tale activities for your families.
