About Bookstart and the packs

Bookstart is the national early intervention and cultural access programme for every child.

Bookstart [Baby] packs are given out by our health workers who also encourage families to visit the children centre and attend rhyme sessions. They are lovely, colourful packs and the books are perfect for the age-range. When these packs are handed out to families, parents are realising reading is not something children just do at school but it starts when they are babies.
