'Bounce and Rhyme' sessions celebrated in local newspaper

The Cornish Guardian recently ran a feature about the fantastic events for families held in Liskeard library.

Written by a new mum, the article includes some great quotes from parents who really appreciate the weekly 'Bounce and Rhyme' sessions:

It is brilliant that the library is becoming a fun place. Libraries were seen as 'boring'…but being able to see the children laughing, making noise and then choosing books afterwards is wonderful.
Wendy Handley who attends with husband Jon and granddaughter Eve, 8 months

It is a great opportunity for Finlay to get out of the house and socialise with other children, and it is a lot of fun. He loves it.
Rhona Doyle, mum of two-year-old Finlay

    Repeat visits

Families who attend the events have even more reason to attend thanks to the Bookstart Bear Club, the fun and free membership reward scheme for all babies, toddlers and preschoolers. With every 'Bounce and Rhyme' or storytime event, they can get a stamp in their Bear Club Passport; after six, they get a special certificate. It's a great way for libraries to encourage repeat visits, and for families to get even more from their library.

Even though Matilda is just ten weeks, I think she really benefits from the sessions…I did use the library before, but never this often.
    First-time mum Ange Garnett

It's not just families who love the events: Tracee Foot, the library assistant at Liskeard, who coordinates 'Bounce and Rhyme', enthuses:

I love seeing the children grow and develop from tiny babies to youngsters able to sing along and join in with the actions. I absolutely love my job…[and] the best part is 'Bounce and Rhyme'.

Well done to Tracee and all at Liskeard library for running such fun and inspiring events!
