Mum of baby Erin tell us about the Bookstart Baby Pack, singing songs and seeing her little one learn to count.

I thought it was great when my health visitor gave me my Bookstart bag – I loved having something for nothing.

I can’t remember exactly how old Erin was when I had it but she definitely was under a year old. I was really grateful for the reading material and the song book which really reminded me to sing to my little girl – something I wouldn’t have done so early on with her otherwise.

I loved the little books and used to keep them in my bag and read to her when we were out. The bag itself was great too: it was perfect for carrying spare clothes and bits and pieces in. I remember putting up the number line in Erin’s bedroom and counted up to ten every time we were in her room.

I thought it was a brill gift and the both of us have had loads of fun using it over the years.
