National Bookstart Week 2011
A fantastic week of family events celebrating the joy of sharing stories, books and rhymes was held from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 June 2011.
Over 5,000 events were held up and down the country in libraries, children's centres, bookshops and other venues, all based around the theme, 'All Aboard!'.
There was something for everyone with storytelling, rhymes, singalongs, games, crafts and more – with the Bookstart Bear making many special appearances. We also gave out free copies of the exclusive 'All Aboard!' booklet, illustrated by Jess Stockham.
