Leave a gift in your will
Including Book Trust in your Will after you have provided for your friends and family is the perfect way to ensure that your support for us can continue to make an impact in years to come.
Book Trust works to ensure that people of all ages and backgrounds discover all the wonderful benefits that can come from a love of reading and writing. A gift from you can guarantee that we are able to continue this work well into the future.
You may also wish to consider leaving a gift in your Will specifically to the Children's Reading Fund. The Fund focuses on the most disadvantaged children in the UK, including children in care and those with additional needs. Find out more about the Children's Reading Fund
Leaving a gift to Book Trust is also tax efficient. Charitable gifts are exempt from inheritance tax. The value of your gift, therefore, will be deducted from your estate before inheritance tax is calculated. We do, however, strongly urge you to seek advice from a solicitor on tax issues.
Larger legacies may have the opportunity for naming rights to a project or event, and those of £500 and over will be recognised on the Book Trust website.
If you or someone you know is considering leaving a gift to Book Trust in your Will you may find some of the information in our FAQs useful. If you have any questions that aren't answered here, or you'd like to speak to someone from Book Trust then please contact our Fundraising Team
This year we launched the Children's Reading Fund, which is all about improving the life chances for disadvantaged children in the UK.
Booktrust wants to build relationships with like-minded partners to help fund our inspiring projects.
Giving in memory can be a rewarding way of remembering and celebrating a relative's or friend's life. Booktrust would be delighted to receive donations in this way.
